But if I go to their web site I can find adverts for everything from Cleaners through Sales Assistants to Sales Managers and even one for a Store Manager Designate. This is just one company. So how did I find them? Easy just pick a company and visit their web site, so lets choose Sainsburys. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and you will see a link marked Recruitment. Click the link and it takes you to their recruitment page. The Sainsbury recruitment page is a particularly good one given it provides lots of information about what they are looking for in employees and what you can expect from them in return. But this trick works with almost every large company and allows you to leverage one other tactic you would not normally be able to bring to bear.

Applying for a job normally means responding to one single advert. However by reading the vacancies or searching through the available posts on a website database you can see more than one post. That way if you find a role which isnt exactly what you were after but is perfectly suitable for you or something you are more than capable of doing bingo you now have a chance of getting in on that vacancy too.

Expand your mind and you can expand your horizons but remember this works best with companies who have lots of different roles within their organisations
